Pancreas are specialized glands that secretes enzyme, that aids in digestion. For the body to digest fats, carbohydrates and proteins to be absorbed by the body, the pancreas plays a major role. They also release glucagons and insulin to the bloodstream. But once pancreas gets inflamed, one needs to do a pancreatic diet to prevent further damage. Pancreatitis is the inflammation of the pancreas. If the pancreas is inflamed, your body will not be able to absorb all the nutrients it needs. If you have or have just recovered from acute pancreatitis, there are several pancreatitis diets that you make take to stop the pancreatitis attacks. Vegetables are what dieticians recommend for pancreatitis by making vegetable juice or just by eating vegetables. Vegetables are a rich source of enzymes, vitamins and minerals that are necessary for curing pancreatitis moreover vegetables are rich in antioxidants as well. They have positive benefits on the body and pancreas, too.
A pancreatitis diet must NOT be rich in fat as they make the pancreas work harder as a result more attacks of pain. You might have recovered from pancreatitis; you will still suffer from pancreatitis attack if you eat too much fatty foods. For added benefit, eat soy-based foods such as crème and milk, are an excellent source of antioxidants that helps avoid damage to the already damaged pancreas.
Do drink 6-8 glasses of water to flush out all allergens that may cause a pancreatic attack. Exercise moderately to keep the body going. Remember to eat a low fat diet, don't drink alcohol and avoid abdominal trauma to prevent further damage to the pancreas.
